Marci has had a love for street photography since she was a child, long before she knew it had a name. “Not until a few years ago, once my kids were grown, did I take up the challenge of photographing in the streets myself,” she reveals.

She seeks to reflect our common human experience in her work. She is drawn to ordinary people doing ordinary things. “To me, it’s all extraordinary—motion, gesture, connection, and humor. We humans are so much more the same than we are different, and hopefully, my photos remind people of that.”

Marci lives in Washington, DC. She helps curate Street Macadam and is a member of the DC Street Photography Collective and the Optic Nerve Collective. She has also curated and written for Women in Street.
